Digi Dance is designed and produced by Mercurial Dance. An arts-led, activism project that aims to improve health & wellbeing outcomes for children through the use of dance & movement-responsive digital technologies. Phase 1 in summer 2021, was a dance participation project with a difference: a digitally-enhanced dance summer school. Children had the opportunity to co-create the choreography and prototype digital solution to movement-led wellbeing for a similar age group to themselves. 

Central to the projects delivery was a focus on collaboration and developing partnerships. Mercurial Dance worked with digital partners Arcade, Coventry City of Culture 2021 and Coventry City Council. All participants of the project were identified by the CC Early Help teams based within Family Hubs across the city. This allowed outreach work and audience development to take place in underrepresented communities across the city.
