Fair Youth is currently on tour. It is a physical fluid duet which explores Shakespeare’s Sonnets and is specifically created for the audience and context of public libraries. Video highlights to be loaded soon.

1 – The SEED R&D (2013)
A short video from the SEED R&D which outlined some of the initial concepts and approaches when exploring dance and Neuroscience. This project initiated a conversations with scientist Alex Connor and producing a work in progress exploring digital and choreographic sections.

The SEED R&D also had a large scale participatory elements and further details can be found by browsing the Mercurial Dance Website.

2 – Cascades

Cascades is a participatory ‘ballet’ for urban spaces. The audience are led through a series of interactive digital scores projection mapped into a public space. This engenders spontaneous movement and performance, and as each score changes so the dynamics and sound shape choreography. In Cascades we want to question how we use our urban spaces, how we look at them, feel about them and how we move within them.

Casacdes | Coda is a reworking of Cascades, reinstalled in our emptyshops studio the Bubble Chamber including an augmented sound score by Andrew Kristy. Here are a series of stills from the project

Cascades is a Mercurial Dance Production supported by The Arts Council England and Coventry City Council with additional support from Belgrade Theatre, 3Space. It has toured nationally to Dance Digital Mobilities Festival 2014, and exists as a piece of work which can evolve to suit different spaces and contexts.
