Risky Business

The Process
We set up an action research process with groups of children to explore the themes of Risk Imagination and Play. Offering an urban playground of old tyres, shopping trolleys and planks of wood the dancers and children exchanged ideas, played with the objects, took risks, created and performed short sequences; establishing a physical dialogue between each other. The children’s ideas were explored further in the studio and we shared a work in progress. The children found it exciting to see their ideas performed on stage for them and this has formed the foundation for the new show.
