Digital Artist Call Out

Digital Artists
Wanted for Education Project

We are recruiting Digital Artists for our in-depth participatory arts project called Every Child Is An Artist for work taking place September – December 2016.

We are looking for freelance artists with experience in Digital Arts, specifically coding, AR, projection mapping and/or working with equipment such as LittleBits and MakeyMakeys and Arduinos.

Every Child Is An Artist is a nationally ground breaking programme to develop the artistic skills abilities of all the children in our partner primary schools, across the different art disciplines. We are developing an arts curriculum in our primary schools delivered by practicing artists, working at the forefront of arts educational practice. Now embarking on its second year we are looking for Digital Artists to join the team and expand on the work already undertaken.

Each term we work towards an exhibition or event that connects with the friends and families of the children.

Here are short films about the project so far.

We are looking for up two artists with differing practices who can deliver regular sessions with the children, keeping a continuity and progression to skills and development throughout a term. We are working across all year groups in the school (1-6), so if you have a specialism for a specific age group please state it.

Equipment Available
The school has a good technical resource including 30 Macbook Airs, whole class resources of Littlebits & Makey Makey’s and iPads with scratch, 123D Design and other software which we would like you to make use of. There is a materials budget for additional resources (eg certain software or craft materials).
